Takumi-Tei Reopening in November in EPCOT

Since Disney World reopened in July 2020, following the COVID-19 shutdown, we have seen a slow and steady return to our favorite attractions and entertainment. Table service restaurants have been a bit slower to reopen following the pandemic.  But that continues to change.

Closed for more than two and a half years, Takumi-Tei in the Japan pavilion will finally reopen starting November 23.

Five dining rooms within Takumi-Tei are themed to the natural elements: water, wood, earth, stone, and washi paper. Guests will once again be able to dine in one of the five nature-themed rooms. Reservations will be open soon for dinner only.

The expensive Japanese restaurant first opened in the Japan Pavilion in EPCOT in July 2019. When it reopens in November it is expected that the menu will largely be the same, although there is still time for some changes to be implemented.
