We are days away from the grand opening of Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind at EPCOT. It is sure to change the Disney World coaster landscape forever.
Before we go on a reverse launch, let’s take a look at some favorite coasters currently in operation.
Here is my short list of the four best roller coaster rides at Disney World that can satisfy your craving for thrill and give you an experience of a lifetime!
4 – Seven Dwarfs Mine Train
One of the most popular rides at the Magic Kingdom is the one that takes you around the diamond mine from the Snow White classic. The Seven Dwarfs Mine Train is probably the coolest old-school ride you’ll come across in the park, which is something perfect if you’re on a family trip. The best thing about the ride is the sterling story-telling and the opportunity to capture your videos and pictures during the ride – which is something offered by only one other ride around the park. The only thing that you might not like about this fun ride is that ends too soon!
3 – Crush ‘n’ Gusher
Who wouldn’t want to dive into cold chilly water on a bright day? Typhoon Lagoon’s Crush ‘n’ Gusher gives you some of that experience along with the mix of a fun exciting ride. This first-ever water coaster was built around eight years back and ever since has been one of the top choices for visitors all around the world, especially in summer. The coaster gives you three different ride experiences to choose from; or even better, you can just take all of them! The three slides ‘Pineapple Plunger,’ ‘Banana Blaster,’ and ‘Coconut Crusher’ take the riders on tropical fruit-themed rafts through several turns and tunnels, and drop them in the cool Hideaway Bay pool water glistening under the sunrays. Going to Typhoon Lagoon Water Park and not taking at least ONE of the electrifying rides will surely be a major miss!
2 – Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster Starring Aerosmith
There is no way you will see a roller coaster enthusiast leaving Disney World without mentioning the thrill they had on the Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster! It is the fastest and the most thrilling ride ever in the park that takes you up and down an intense path with a loop and double corkscrew and blasts at a mega speed of 55-60mph. The unique thing about the ride is that it has a concept behind it. The plot includes you as the main character who has to reach an Aerosmith concert as early as possible through a dark tunnel on a stretch limo. Not to forget, you get to literally rock n roll along with Aerosmith’s music that blasts through your headset throughout the ride.
1 – Expedition Everest – Legend of the Forbidden Mountain
There is no way the list is completed with the BEST roller coaster ride to ever exist in the Disney World – and that’s not just my opinion! The steel roller coaster resides in Animal Kingdom Park and takes you through an incredibly smooth yet exhilarating adventure across the Himalayan Mountains – more specifically the Forbidden Mountain itself. Anyone who takes this detailed high-speed ride cannot stop talking about their amazing trip in short three minutes. The best thing about the ride along with the mystical theme of Yeti and them protecting their land is the huge backward drop by the coaster, which is something close to perfect! Expedition Everest definitely stands at the peak of the mountain of roller coasters that you, as an amusement park fan, need to take at least once in your lifetime!
