The standby queue will open on September 9, 2024. Up until September 8, Magic Kingdom guests will still be able to ride via a virtual queue.

Currently, the ride uses standby queues for after-hour events like Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party.

For those who do not want to wait in a standard line, the ride will still offer Lightning Lane Single Pass to guests. Lightning Lane Single Pass purchases are limited in availability, are subject to closure or change, can vary by date, and are not guaranteed. For the latest information. check the My Disney Experience app or the Walt Disney World Resort website.

Continuing to use virtual quests are both Tiana’s Bayou Adventure at Magic Kingdom and Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind at EPCOT.

Before this change was announced, guests could not join virtual queues for both TRON Lightcycle Run and for Tiana’s Bayou Adventure.
