Guests Will Soon Get to View TRON Vehicles on the Track

Disney is working double-time to get projects closer to completion and now we’ve got more exciting news about an upcoming Magic Kindom ride – TRON Lightcycle / Run.

According to Chris Beatty, a Creative Executive at Walt Disney World, their Walt Disney Imagineering project team will be celebrating a significant milestone on the construction of the TRON Lightcycle / Run attraction in the near future, and guests at Magic Kingdom Park will be able to get their first look at ride vehicles on the track!

During the next phase of ride testing, the project team will begin a process known as “push/pull.” In this process, sections of the seven-vehicle train will be moved slowly throughout the ride track. They’ll start out slowly and pick up speed at incremental levels once the track is completely ready, with the goal of working their way up to full-speed launches.

For guests visiting Magic Kingdom, this process will be visible in Tomorrowland, as vehicles travel out of the launch zone and underneath the iconic canopy that can be viewed from many areas around Tomorrowland (our favorite place to see TRON is on the Tomorrowland Transit Authority PeopleMover).
