Weekly Disney Roundup For June 6 – June 12, 2021

In this edition of the Weekly Disney Round-Up: we get our first look at Disney+’s Behind The Attraction, construction on Tron Lightcycle continues, and details on EPCOT’s Food and Wine 2021 surface.

Magic Kingdom

Updated “Trapped Scene” Debuts in the Jungle Cruise: Guests riding the Jungle Cruise attraction will now be able to see another rethemed scene. The “trapped scene” has been updated in an effort to be more inclusive. Disney Imagineering has recently posted some still-shots of the change.

Big Thunder Mountain Closed for Refurbishments: The Wildest Ride in the Wilderness will be a little tamer the next few days. Big Thunder Mountain Railroad is now temporarily closed for refurbishments.

More Boo Bash:  Disney has added five new Sunday dates to the schedule for the Disney After Hours Boo Bash.

Construction Continues on new Tron Coaster: Construction workers have continued to build out the exterior canopy on Tron Lightcycle Power Run in Tomorrowland at the Magic Kingdom.

EPCOT

New Tiny World Magic Shot Now at EPCOT: Tiny World Magic Shot is a new imaginative photo op where guests will appear they are on top of the world.

Details on Food and Wine 2021 Released: Disney Parks has released details on EPCOT’s International Food and Wine Festival 2021. The festival will take place July 15 through November 20, so there is plenty of time to eat your way around the world. Let’s take a look at some of the fun itinerary.

COVID-19 Update:

Orange County, FL Ends Mask Mandate Staring June 5, 2021: Jerry Demings, the Mayor of Orange County, Florida, will end all COVID-19 restrictions as of Saturday, June 5, 2021.  This means there are no more mask mandates or physical distancing requirements.
