Many people have asked, and I have often wondered myself, what happens to all that gingerbread after Christmas time?
Since the gingerbread sits out for about two months with thousands of people passing by, I can’t imagine it is fit for human consumption – although I would be willing to give it a try.
It turns out that Disney has anticipated this question and has answered it for us.
On the outside of the gingerbread house is a television displaying interesting information.
That television shows that Disney removes the gingerbread after Christmas and takes it to the Walt Disney World tree farm. There, honey bees enjoy the sweet treat – eating the honey and sugar.
