Disney continues to expand entertainment offerings at Animal Kingdom, and today announced a few updates and confirmed some previous news.
Let’s take a look!
KiteTails and Character Flotillas
Disney’s Animal Kingdom debuted the KiteTails show in September 2021 as part of the resort’s 50th anniversary. The show included characters from The Lion King and The Jungle book in kite form, flying to music.
Now, Disney is updating the show with more frequent and shorter performances throughout the day so that guests can enjoy it from anywhere around the Discovery River Lagoon.
The Lagoon will also host Character Flotillas – boats with music and characters including Mickey Mouse, Timon, Rafiki, and Pocahontas.
Tumble Monkeys Return
It’s official. The ever-popular Tumble Monkeys will return to the Festival of the Lion King show in the Africa section of the park.

In addition, the show’s iconic birds will take flight once again.
Meet And Greets
Mickey and Minnie Mouse will once again meet with guests at the Adventurers Outpost.
Updated Musical

The updated version of Finding Nemo: The Musical will open in the next few months, although Disney didn’t announce a specific date. Finding Nemo: The Big Blue… and Beyond will bring the Theater in the Wild to life once again.
