In this edition of the Weekly Disney Round-Up: Victoria & Albert’s will reopen this summer, Nemo returns to the stage, plus we check in to the progress being made on Journey of Water.
This is your Disney news round-up for the week for June 5, 2022.

EPCOT
Progress Being Made on Journey of Water: Journey of Water Inspired by Moana is a new attraction that has been under construction in EPCOT for some time now. While we still don’t have an official open date, the good news is that progress is being made behind those construction walls.

Animal Kingdom
“Finding Nemo: The Musical” Re-Opens: Another big show is reopening in Disney World. The original “Finding Nemo: The Musical” theatrical show at Animal Kingdom has been closed down since the parks closed down for the pandemic but will now open as “Finding Nemo: The Big Blue… and Beyond!” The large blue theater has sat empty right between Expedition Everest and Dinoland, USA, for way too long.

Minnie Vans Return June 29: Disney Minnie Vans will only provide transportation on Disney World property. Minnie Vans are equipped with car seats, and guests can request an Accessible Minnie Van. The Minnie Van service, which guests can book using the Lyft app, will restart on June 29, 2022.
It’s Time to Book Your 2023 Disney Vacation: Are you planning to visit the Most Magical Place on Earth in 2023? If you’re a planner, now is the time you’ve been waiting for! Disney has officially released its 2023 vacation packages.

Disney Dining Plan Still Not Available: Disney announced this week that beginning on June 8th, vacation planners can begin to make travel plans for visits in 2023 to include Disney Resort Hotel stays and packages for next year. Many were both surprised and disappointed to learn that the Disney Dining Plans will not be available, at least initially, for 2023 Vacation Packages.
Disney’s Caribbean Beach Resort Discontinuing Pirate Rooms: If you were hoping to stay in one of the pirate-inspired rooms, you may want to book your next trip to Walt Disney World soon. Disney just confirmed that the Pirate rooms are being discontinued by the end of this year.

Victoria & Albert’s Reopens This July: Foodies, mark your calendar: Victoria & Albert’s at Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort reopens on July 28, 2022. Guests can make reservations beginning on June 20. The restaurant will feature updates to both the dining room as well as the menu.
