Magic Kingdom Extends Summer Operating Hours for ‘Disney Starlight’ Parade

Beginning on Sunday, July 20, Magic Kingdom will stay open until 11:00 p.m. to accommodate the debut of the Disney Starlight Nighttime Parade. Currently, Magic Kingdom closes at 10 p.m. on most evenings.

There will be two performances each evening of “Disney Starlight: Dream the Night Away” parade at 9:00 p.m. and 11:00 p.m. The Magic Kingdom will close with the final performance of “Disney Starlight” each night.  These operating hours are scheduled through at least Saturday, August 2nd, when closing time moves back until 10:00 p.m.  However, that is subject to change.

Also, beginning on July 20, Annual Passholders must make park reservations for Magic Kingdom, regardless of when they are visiting. In the past, Passholders were able to enter Walt Disney World theme parks without a reservation after 2:00 p.m., with the exception of Magic Kingdom on Saturdays and Sundays.

Magic Kingdom will also be open until 11:00 p.m. on July 3 and July 4 for Independence Day celebrations.
