On April 10, 2024, the character buffet 1900 Park Fare at Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort reopened after an extensive refurbishment that replaced the story, characters, furnishings, and art.
On April 25 I had a chance to visit the restaurant, courtesy of the nice folks at Disney Media Relations, and had an amazing experience.
Let’s look at the unique artwork gracing the restaurant’s tall walls.
Disney Art
The theme of the dining experience is that wishes can come true, and Disney artists created beautiful paintings of special moments from Disney movies throughout the years that capture special moments involving wishes.
The main dining room of 1900 Park Fare is a large, open space full of light. It’s a perfect place to show off Disney artwork.
Ariel wishes to be a part of the human world.
Rapunzel wishes to see the lanterns on her birthday.
Briar Rose wishes for a dance with her prince.
Cinderella wishes for a way to go to the ball.
Snow White makes a wish at the well.
Geppetto wishes for Pinocchio to come to life.
Belle wishes for adventure and life beyond her small village.
Aladdin gets to make wishes after releasing Genie from the lamp.
Alice wishes for a chance to escape reality and visit Wonderland.
Tiana wishes for a chance to build a better life.
Asha from the Disney movie “Wish” makes a desperate wish for the people of her country to get a chance at having their own wishes come true.
Arthur from Sword in the Stone wishes to remove the sword.
While not a painting and not operating during my visit, Big Bertha the Organ still oversees the dining room and is definitely a work of art to admire.
