On April 10, 2024, the character buffet 1900 Park Fare at Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort reopened after an extensive refurbishment that replaced the story, characters, furnishings, and art.
On April 25 I had a chance to visit the restaurant, courtesy of the nice folks at Disney Media Relations, and had an amazing experience.
Here, let’s look at the delicious food offered buffet-style at the restaurant:
Starters And Salads
Peel and eat shrimp with lemon and cocktail sauce.
Create your own salad with a variety of greens.
Top your salad with croutons, cheese, tomatoes, cucumbers, other toppings, and a variety of salad dressings.
Cold salads including fruit salad, couscous, and a unique and delicious loaded potato salad.
Assorted cheeses, grapes, and breads – all beautifully displayed.
Main Dishes
The prime rib was tender, flavorful, and amazing.
Au jus and potatoes.
The restaurant now features Tiana’s gumbo (center) which goes well over rice.
Tender chicken.
Sausage and macaroni and cheese.
Flavorful salmon together with carrots and green beans.
Kid’s Favorites
Kids have choices, too – including pizza and chicken nuggets.
Desserts
Warm chocolate cake!
Pastries include chocolate chip cookies and vanilla cupcakes.
Beautifully prepared pastries including a unique almond cake, brownies, and cheesecake.
Back by guest demand, the strawberry soup is served cold. You can top it with fresh-cut strawberries and whipped cream. Delicious!
Summary
In addition to enjoying the beautiful surroundings of the restaurant and visiting with popular Disney characters, 1900 Park Fare serves up a wide variety of food options. I tried almost everything, and it was delicious, beautifully displayed, and well organized. Two big thumbs up for 1900 Park Fare.
