Disney Wish Will Debut Joyful Treats: The Disney Cruise Line has announced that the Disney Wish will have a new sweet shop called Joyful Sweets inspired by the Pixar movie “Inside Out.”  Like the movie, it will be colorful and feature its popular characters. The shop will resemble Riley’s mind and will offer desserts and merchandise.

Super Bowl Winners Go to Disneyland: The long-running Disney tie-in to the Super Bowl continues! After the Los Angeles Rams won the big game on February 13, 2022, players Cooper Kupp, Aaron Donald, and Matthew Stafford joined their families and said a slightly modified version of the famous line:  “We’re all going to Disneyland!’’

Disney Launches New Cast Member Compliment Section: In October 2021, Disney launched a new Mobile Cast Compliment feature in the My Disney Experience app.  That feature has created more than 25,000 compliments, and now Disney has made it even better.

Face Masks Will Now Be Optional at Walt Disney World: Guests visiting Walt Disney World will no longer be required to wear face masks at both indoor and outdoor locations starting on February 17, 2022.  This is a change from the previous policy, where guests didn’t have to wear face masks outdoors but did need to wear them indoors and on Disney transportation. Under this new policy, all guests must still wear masks on Disney transportation, including the monorail.

New Disney Residential Community Coming to California: Disney is getting (back into) the business of developing residential communities.  It’s been a while since Disney developed the community of Celebration, Florida, back in 1996, and now Disney is looking to build in California. The company has announced Storyliving by Disney – the development of new neighborhoods with Disney magic.

Lin-Manuel Miranda Talks of Encanto Attraction Ideas: Lin-Manuel Miranda, the mastermind behind the music from Encanto, was recently interviewed by The Wrap about the success of Encanto. Although the interview revealed several interesting facts about the film, it was Miranda’s response to questions about the Disney Parks that piqued the interest of Disney Park fans.
